I found Shelby on the side of a road after she was hit by a car. Her pelvis had been crushed. We coordinated with a local rescue to get her surgery, but she wasn't expected to be able to walk or run again. We agreed to foster her through her recovery, but soon decided we couldn't let her go. Our big V-8 Shelby now walks, runs, jumps and plays with her puppy siblings. She is our miracle, and made me fall in love with the pitt bull breed.
