We adopted Bruin 14 yrs ago. Her tough name arose partially from the fact that despite being small enough to fit in a hand, this feisty pup made a tiny bearish growling noise before popping out from under couches to nip the noses of larger unsuspecting family dogs, who quickly learned to greatly fear the Tiny Tyrant. Bruin loves to hike (bad knees be damned!) and kayak and is Tug-o-War Champion of the World. As she approaches her 15th bday, she has defied all odds fighting terminal bladder cancer because she has not yet achieved her lifetime goal of eating every last morsel of food on Earth.
