Sara is an eleven year old brindle Scottish Terrier, who was rescued from a puppy mill by the Mid Atlantic Scottish Terrier Rescue in 2011. She was a breeding machine for the puppy mill, forced to have litter after litter of puppies in the worst possible setting, where her puppies were ripped from her and sold for a lot of money. Sara was kept in a filthy cage, with little and sometimes no water or food, no medical treatment, and repeatedly beaten. To this day, Sara is very shy and skittish around people. She is very gentle, never barks, and has repeated nightmares where she shakes and cries out in her sleep. But she is safe and clean now, has a soft and comfortable bed, food and water, and medical treatment on a regular basis. We love our beautiful Sara.
