Jock is a 6-year-old Scottie rescued by MASTER in 2012, Fiona a 12-year-old-or-so wheaten Scottie who came to us in 2005 through Jeanne and Scottie Rescue. Terrified of people, Fiona learned to be part of our family with the gentle help of Cairn “big sister” Tigger. Fiona remembered those lessons after Tigger died and immediately took Jock under her wing – he was terrified of everything, having been kept in a box as a puppy mill stud. Although Fiona remains shy and Jock hyper-wary, they gain confidence day by day and now reign over morning walk, yard patrol (oh, for those occasional rat visitors back in Maryland…), crumb patrol (when are the grandchildren back for supper?), and the 3AM squeaker toy attack. Thank you Jeanne, Frank and MASTER for these beloved treasures, bossy though they may be.
