We found Mattie at the DC shelter, where she was on an extended stay waiting for the right family. Because of her bright, cheerful personality, the staff named her Sunshine. At our first meeting, we immediately recognized these wonderful gifts, but, also, her independent attitude for being caged over 3 months. With training and a caring home, she has been our daily ray of sunshine and love for the last 12 years!
