Miss Nala was born on Oahu. I found her from a private party when she was 4 months old. She was born in a puppy mill and first sold from a pet store. Her owner was a little afraid of her because she would growl when she fed her. I fell in love at first sight and had her shipped over here to Maui. That night when I tried to feed her she did growl so I decided to sit on the floor and hand feed her! She never growled again after that night! She just needed patience and love.
I wasn't sure of what name I wanted to give her. Her previous owner had named her FiFi. I remembered a dog back in CA at a animal shelter and her name was Nala. For some reason that just seemed to fit her so Nala it was. The next day when I read her paper work I found out the breeder had also named her Nala! Guess it was all meant to be. My first little Dog and I love her beyond words!
