Aloha! My name is Tiki, and I am 14 years old. With a name like Tiki, I was meant to live on Maui. I’m what they call a “failed foster” (it means I got adopted!). I was born in Denver and spent 2 YEARS (!!) in a shelter before my mom took me home as a foster. I was terribly unhappy and I was mean to everyone that came near me. I was actually quite scary!! She thought if I got some chill time away from the shelter, I could get adopted. After about 6 months, I had her heart and she adopted me! I’ve been with her for 11 years now. With her patience, love and understanding, I’ve become a big lap cat and have tons of love to give back. Just look at me in this photo — I am happy, loving life and chillaxing on Maui! Fostering saves lives! I’m living proof.
