Coraline is a sweet potato queen. She pretends to like strawberries. She hated cellphones and social media before it was cool to hate those things.
She met a turtle once; it wasn’t great.
She loves being in studio with her parents when they play piano and sing.

Pet's Story
Coraline was from Georgia, fostered in Queens, NY, and moved to New Jersey after her adoption on December 5, 2020. She threw up in the car ride to her new home, was immediately embarrassed, but when she was met with unexpected compassion and even more comfort and snuggles, her anxiety melted away when she realized no one would judge, scorn, or discard her. She was safe and would be taken care of from then on out. Unconditionally, no questions asked.
Coraline loves the sound of laughter. She’s protective of her family. She’s the friendliest dog on the block and at the park. She’ll kiss you when you’re crying. She’ll begrudgingly agree to have her teeth brushed, only because the toothpaste tastes good. She’ll help do the dishes. Her zoomies are cheetah-strength zoomies. She hates getting her nails clipped, but she’s every groomer’s favorite sweetie. Walks with either dad or mom are fine, but when the three of us walk together, you’ve never seen a more excited girl. She loves to listen to piano. Even if it puts her to sleep, it’s the deepest compliment. She’s entirely herself and is comfortable making jokes and being goofy. She is happiest when you are happy. And if you aren’t, she’ll remind you to open your eyes and live. When you are hard on yourself, she is kind. Coraline is always there with the advice of a kiss or some roo-roos to snap you back to reality and reassurance. She is unconditional love.
