We bought Bailey from a pet store when she was 6 weeks old as a Christmas gift for my husband. My children were so excited! Her name was inspired by It's a Wonderful Life! On Christmas night, she became lethargic and febrile. We took her to the emergency vet and found out she had pneumonia from kennel cough and didn't know if she'd make it through the night. We called the store the next day and they said to just bring her back and get another one. We were mortified! We already loved Bailey! We weren't going to just let her die!! We visited her in the hospital. After 5 nights in the hospital, we took our precious baby home. This picture was taken when she experienced snow for the first time. I have since learned about the dangers of puppy mills and now fully support rescues!!
