Your Pet's Story or Bio
Maura (inside) was adopted from the Mendocino Coast Humane Society despite my efforts to resist. The moment we locked gazes I dubbed her Princess Goddess Eyes. She is an unregistered Burmese and when my mother saw her photo in the paper she was certain that Maura was a descendant of our beloved but long passed tom, Rudyard and his mate, (my first personal cat), Willow. Maura has a coat so soft even the vet said "It's like petting a mink." Outside is Gandalf the Grey, and behind him, barely visible, is his brother Didymus. I might apologize for the dirty windows in the door, but they were kept perpetually dirty by Gandalf asking to come in. Though technically belonging to our neighbor, since the time this photo was taken Gandalf and Didymus have both become members of our household - against Maura's advise. She is adamant that they both have cooties.
