Yin, a white Nubian/La Mancha doe with a black spot, is a twin to her sister Yang, who is black with a white spot. Their mother, Calliope, gave birth to the girls late January 2016 on our farm in Comptche. Yin is a gentle soul, and perhaps that is why this California Tortoiseshell butterfly felt safe upon its landing.
