I like to call Mel, "Smelly Melly", but she really doesn't smell at all! Mel came to the shelter with a litter of newborn puppies and she was a protective and vigilant mommy. But now it is Mel's turn to be adopted and find her forever home. Of all the dogs I walk at the shelter, Mel is the most empathetic. If I feel blue, Mel will quietly lean against me and let me hug her. If I feel like playing, Mel keeps right up and makes it fun. She is a very special girl and tries hard to be a good girl.
