Is This a Rescue Pet?
Your Pet's Story or Bio
Rescuing Tippi, a Tabby Point Siamese feline, is the quintessential "meant to be" story. A weekend vacation to Mendocino two years ago, turned out to be a serendipitous journey into increasing our pet family. Smitten with a counter cat at a Mendocino bookstore and telling a shopkeeper in Fort Bragg about it, led to a referral to Susan Burke and a jump-in-with-both-feet visit to the Mendocino Coast Humane Society.
There were so many wonderful cats there, yet when I leaned down to pet the blue-eyed Siamese/Tabby mix and she pranced onto my shoulders, I knew she was the perfect cat for us. And she is that and more.
Tippi didn't get the memo about fearing dogs, strangers, travel, etc. She has vacationed all over California and happily cohabitates with two petulant pugs. She keeps all willing laps warm whether there are two people at the house or 20.
It seems impossible to think we could love her more than we do. While we had a moments hesitation adopting a senior cat, I can't imagine our home without her. We're just grateful she is spending one of her nine lives with us.
And as the picture shows, she's an absolute peach!
