Hi! Maddie here! In Sept. 2017 just before my 6th birthday, I was abandoned at the MEHS. I loved the staff there & they loved me, but true to my name, I hated the other cats, so I was made the office mascot.

Not surprisingly, my rather, er… unpredictable disposition didn’t help me get adopted, but finally in Feb. 2019, a human named Doug wandered in. I gave him the usual Maddie treatment, but he just smiled, picked me up, & gave me a big hug. Gad! This was unheard of!! Truly a call to claws!!! But for some reason, I hugged him back, & didn’t even try to sever an artery or anything. He then smiled & proclaimed, “She’s the one!”

Next thing I knew, I was in a big, kitty friendly apartment with huge windows, fun stairs, & lotsa love, snacks, & toys. I’ve found my fur-ever home!!
