Duke the Pomsky came into my life after the death of my previous shelter rescue. I spotted him on Facebook Marketplace and couldn’t believe my eyes. His owner was in a very unfortunate situation where she was forced to rehome him, and she simply didn’t know what else to do. On my way to meet him, I prayed for a sign that he was meant to be mine. When I arrived, he was playing with other dogs but stopped when I called his name. He ran toward me and scaled the front of me. As I caught him in my arms, he gave me a big kiss when my mouth was open mid sentence. I knew right then he was coming home with me. He is the life of the party at the dog park and the farmers market, and he has never met a stranger… Dog or human.
