Last month we had to make the difficult decision to end the suffering of our beloved shelter dog. Most of you probably remember Buddy’s story, returned to us several months ago after being with his owner for 12 years. We didn’t realize then how attached we’d become over those months.
He was severely arthritic and suffering from chronic renal failure. Buddy had his good days and his bad days, but thanks to the love and support from our staff, volunteers and followers, Buddy had spent the last 6 months of his life constantly surrounded by love. We can’t thank all of you enough for following Buddy’s journey and making his last bit of life extraordinarily wonderful. Although our stubborn old man has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, we are confident he is now surrounded by an endless supply of Beggin Strips and feline friends to tease and, most importantly, he is no longer suffering.
