Finley was born in a shelter. The litter of nine was named by the staff at the shelter for each of the planets. Finley was Saturn.
He was the last to be adopted because the family that had requested him was not able to meet the requirements of the shelter. We received a call to see if we were interested in Saturn. We said yes and packed up the car with our dog, daughter, granddaughter, and ourselves to pass the meet-and-greet test- especially to see how our older dog would react to this pup. Piece of cake, Brody, our old gentle giant of a dog was accepting of this tiny pup. They became best buds along with our granddaughter! It was amazing to see this special bond and love shared by senior dog, puppy, and child.
