Adopting a companion has truly changed my life. I've always wanted an animal of my own, but I never imagined a cat this kind and loving to be at a Humane Society. Why would anyone give her up? Well, their loss is my gain! We adopted Shadow, now Luna, about 6 months ago. At first she was incredibly shy, but she came around within the first couple days. The most incredible feeling was the first time she came up to me and sat on my lap, purring and all, and just kept rubbing her head on my hands. I teared up just thinking that I saved a life. She has been my best friend since. Every day when I get home from work, she doesn't leave my side. It's the best feeling to come home and have a cuddle buddy!
