Chum came to me as Cisco, a longhaired Rott on MARR website .He was at aRTS in texas for seven months. He was giving up...shutting down. Marr pulled him for foster he made the trip from texas to indiana for foster.
I adopted him. For the first month he would hide under bushes,lay in the corner of the yard facing out of the fence and tremble when approached. He didn't like to be loved much. He would not be touched for six months without hitting the ground and tightening his body. He was wanting to bond but didn't know it was ok
He did however have the bond of feeling the need to protect, and in one instance did let a stranger know he had breached his boundaries.
Fast forwarding to present day and a lot of efforts to overcome fears of rejection.

He is now confident, snuggly, arrogant...proud and playfull.
HE is a true testimony to what lies in the heart of a dog waiting to be accepted.
