Pet's Story or Bio
Jolie is a Charleston Animal Society Alumni. She came into the shelter in 2012 when my mom found her roaming the streets and I instantly fell in love with her. Unfortunately, I knew that I couldn't take on another animal so I watched her get adopted and my heart broke. In 2014 I lost my mother, and almost 2 months to the day after I lost her, Jolie was brought back into the shelter. Her previous adopter became homeless and could no longer take care of her. She was returned on my day off and as soon as I found out she was back, I rushed up to the shelter and the bond was still there. She remembered me, and I fully believe that she came back for me. She has remained by my side ever since and has helped me through so many things. She herself has overcome many obstacles. She was heartworm positive, her teeth are worn down from who knows what, and last year she went through two surgeries for cancer. She's full of problems and that's what makes me love her so much more. Our bond is like no other and she is the most incredible dog in the world.
