Your Story
Ce’Laya was born at 25weeks weighing at 1Ibs 6.9oz on Feb. 13, 2021, in the nicu for nearly 4months. When Ce’laya was born her lungs were not fully developed so she was on a ventilator for quite sometime. She was discharged from the NICU on June 6 on 1 liter of oxygen, but the stress and anxiety for us did not stop there. As Ce’laya got older we noticed she was delayed, which was expected but instead of progressing she started to regress. Celaya was no longer tracking and could not hold her bottle, she had tests done and noticed at some point a brain injury occurred and to this day we are unclear of how. Celaya was diagnosed with Quadriplegic Cerebral palsy, developmental delay around 11 months but that does not stop her from keeping that huge smile off her face, she is thriving and our blessing.
