Your Story
Our story started on early May 2023,
I went into my local hospital having discharge for several days and only being given antibiotics for an “infection” I had and was eventually sent home. After taking the full course of antibiotics, I went to the hospital again on May 21 for still having discharge and feeling tired and discomfort. I was done an ultrasound and I was notified that I was 3cm dilated at only 23 weeks & 2 days. I was scared and nervous getting notified that my baby could be a premature baby. I was transferred to UCI Medical Center in Orange CA where I stayed in bed rest and was supposed to be discharged on May 30th but baby girl had other plans. On May 28 2023 I started bleeding then I was transferred to an active labor and delivery room where I started contracting at 5pm to 3am I was going for an natural labor but eventually got sent for a crash c - section after having a prolapse umbilical. It was a scary situation I was advised before that a c section was possible to happen but no one is prepared for the worst. Thank God my baby girl Jazlyn Jahira was born on May 29th at 3:45am only being 24 weeks 2 days via C-section. It has been a long journey in the NICU with my baby girl with her having to be on a ventilator to her being on CPAP ventilador for weeks to eventually in august she went on to room air. Now Jazlyn is 102 days old and soon to be home.
She is known in the NICU for having big pretty cheeks.
