Hi, I'm Lucy. I'm a springer spaniel, but please hold your applause — I'm a chill one.
I'm 6 years old and I've got a pretty good gig: an open field behind the house I call my park (deer trespassers are promptly escorted out — I run a tight operation), a river where I help Dad fish by sitting patiently on the bank and pointing whenever a fish dares pop up, and miles of trails where I do my best hiking. My family says I'm "an okay hunting dog, but the best dog dog" — and honestly, I'll take it.
At night, I have one non-negotiable: I sleep barreled directly between Mom and Dad. I don't ask, I don't apologize, I just wedge myself in there and snore like a freight train until morning. It's the system. It works.
I'm also a bit of a girl's girl — if you're a lady offering pets, consider yourself pre-approved. It's just policy.
