Rules

Entries:

Both dogs and cats are eligible to enter the contest.
Each entry is a $5 donation.
Limit of one pet per photo entry. No photos of multiple pets, and no photos that include people. Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win and are not eligible for a refund.
All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos (except for those taken by Lint Roller Productions, who grants permission for entry).
The Submissions Period starts at 10:00:00 AM (Mountain Time) on Monday, April 28, 2025 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Friday, May 30, 2025.
Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Lint Roller Productions and/or Missoula Animal Services, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entries that receive the most votes. The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.

Voting:

Each $1 donation counts as one (1) vote.
All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
The Voting Period starts at 10:00:00 AM (Mountain Time) on Monday, April 28, 2025 and ends at 9:00:00 PM (Mountain Time) on Friday, May 30, 2025.

Calendar Photo Session:

The top 12 vote-getters will have their pet professionally photographed by Lint Roller Productions on pre-selected dates between June and September, at a pre-selected location in the greater Missoula area. If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote-getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar. Winning cats may be photographed outside their homes, rather than traveling to a different location, if they live within Missoula city limits.
Please note that participation in this contest requires photography of winning pets by Lint Roller Productions for the calendar’s creation. While we understand the sensitivity of the situation, in the unfortunate event that a winning pet passes away before the calendar sessions, the next highest vote-getter will take their spot.
All winners will have the opportunity to upgrade their complimentary mini-session to a full custom session, and to purchase images and artwork following their session, if desired. Upgraded sessions can include multiple pets from the same family, who may also then appear in the calendar photo.
The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2026 calendar, along with the featured photo in the month of their choice. The following 11 recipients with the most votes will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
The photographer, Lint Roller Productions, will choose the best image of the pets to be used in the calendar as well as—outside of the top vote-getter—the month in which those images appear.

Weekly Mini-Contests:

The pet receiving the highest number of new votes each week will win a prize from one of the participating business sponsors.
Each pet may only win a weekly mini-contest once.
In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner.
In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized draw will be held for all eligible pets.

The Fine Print:

By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
Calendars will be available to the general public starting in late fall.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Missoula Animal Services and Lint Roller Productions and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
Please email Kim at kim@lintrollerproductions.com, with your pet's name as the subject line. In the body of the email, include either 1) a haiku about your pet (proper syllable count, please); or 2) a specific and sincere compliment for Enzo, which I'll read aloud to him. (You can find Enzo in the field of contest entrants.) Complete this side quest by 9pm on Thursday, May 29th and your pet will receive 25 bonus votes.
