Pet's Story or Bio
Hi,
I'm Bella's mom, Julie - and this is our story.
In 2011 my family and I lost our beloved dog due to old age. A few months after his passing, I immensely felt like a piece of me was missing.

One day, I asked my mother to take me to the nearest ATM. Shortly after, I was at the GMSPCA. I remember saying "this is my puppy, I want her." Without even holding "Sugar plum" in my arms, I knew that she is what I needed, and that she needed me. I renamed her Bella and that same day, I took her home. I was asked if I wanted my picture taken with her, but I said no as I was too shy. I now regret that hasty decision. Therefore, this opportunity would mean a lot to the both of us.

My sweet Bella brings so much joy to my life. She's been with me since high school, through college and now university.

Unfortunately, Bella has been battling arthritis and cancer since Spring of 2020. She's endured one major surgery, is currently on multiple medications and receives weekly injections at the vet. She is very much a playful puppy and loves playing with her stuffies. She also adores her grandparents. Although it is a difficult decision, I have decided she will no longer have any more surgeries or treatment. I know I will have to say goodbye soon, (I'm tearing up writing this), but until that day comes, I will keep cherishing every moment I have with her.
