Iris arrived at GMSPCA, March 30, 2021 as a Stray. Her left eye so badly damaged, was removed ASAP. Two wks later, all 35 teeth removed as irreparably decayed. April 30th, Iris deemed fit for adoption& fate deemed my husband & I fit to become her forever family. She had some recognizable fear & stress issues- all resolved with tender care & love. No teeth - no problem! Can gum much more than soft food! Regular Vet checkups always”Paws Up!” She loves cats, dogs, children, big humans, too & has shown amazing calming effect on dogs she meets whose parents feel they’re shy or feisty with other puppers. Has shown more energy than many humans & dogs on several occasions, loves walks & her boyfriend, Leroy the Chocolate Lab. She’s our Saucy Senior. We’re wrapped around her fluffy tail. When people say “how nice you rescued her”.. our reply “No, she rescued us. Lady Iris Rose, whether a Calendar Star or no, Our Shining Star, Forever.
