Story behind the cap idea/Bio
“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." – Joshua 1:9
This is a verse from the Bible that is very dear to me. It reminds me not to be afraid, no matter what life throws at me, because God is with me. Knowing that no matter what obstacle comes my way, I can overcome it because God is with me wherever I go.
Starting a new chapter in my life heading off to college scares me, but I know that God is with me, so there is nothing I need to fear. When I was decorating my cap, I wanted it to be filled with flowers and elements that remind me of nature. Not only because nature is beautiful, but also because it reminds me of my Creator.
I drew and colored a sunset because it represents the promise of a new dawn. It gives me hope for this new journey. As I head off to Ramapo, where I will be majoring in nursing, I know that the academic course load will be challenging, but there is nothing for me to fear, for “the LORD thy God is with thee.”
