Story behind the cap idea/Bio
Jokingly, my mother would always tell me “ calladita te ves más bonita” or “you look prettier when you’re quiet” when I would be rambling on. So for my graduation cap, I put “ educada me veo más bonita” or “I look prettier educated” to be a play on a common saying said in my household. I placed a dragonfly in memory of my grandfather who passed and would say dragonfly’s brought good news. I also placed a star at the top to symbolize my future and a purple heart to symbolize my time in the Bonner Leader Program at Montclair State University. The ladybug was for good luck and the googly eyes represented my high school graduation cap that also featured googly eyes. Lastly, the pink star was for fun!
