Pet's Story or Bio
Minerva was a tiny hustler on the streets of Ft. Greene, Brooklyn, hanging out with a local construction crew every day during their lunch break and ensuring she got some under-the-table snacks passed her way. This combination of brains and charm ended up putting this stray teen mom on the radar of Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition and the Brooklyn Cat Cafe, who rescued Minerva and her kittens in early 2018.

Minerva quickly found her way into a home that was grieving the loss of a beloved cat. There was no adjustment phase: Within half an hour of arriving at her new home, Minerva was sitting next to her new human on the couch, and that night she was sleeping at the foot of the bed. Now 3 years old, this former stray is one fancy feline! She has a backyard where she has been able to rediscover her wild panther soul, is obsessed with stealing bites of cheese from Murray’s when her human isn’t looking (aged gouda is her fave), loves road trips and has stayed in A-frame cabins and glamping tents like any chic Brooklyn influencer, and will do tarot card readings for other felines on her Instagram account @minervathepanther.
