Pet's Story or Bio
Babe was found on the streets by police and brought into Acct 10/2018. She was rescued from Acct by STAR several weeks later. During her first month or so at STAR while in foster, her severe separation anxiety came to light. The STAR team and behaviorist were dedicated to her treatment and over the course of many months worked tirelessly with her to optimize her chances for success in a forever home. Fast forward to this past June, I randomly came across the Instagram page for STAR. I saw Babes smiling face and my heart melted. I learned her about her special needs during my phone interview with STAR. As a medical professional, I felt empathy for her case but also well equipped to take on her needs since I had a good understanding of her medications. At our first meeting , I sat on the floor of the rescue and Babe came right over and buried her face in my lap. From that moment, I was committed to her to give her the safe, secure and happy life she so deserves. We are now two months in and she is making tremendous progress! Babe is a sweet, smart, cuddly, resilient dog and has been working equally as hard as her care team to overcome her anxiety and fear. I am so grateful that fate brought us together and look forward to all that the future has in store.
