Pet's Story or Bio
Popple (aka Popple Warner) spent the first seven years of his life in New Jersey with his beloved owner, Lucy. Sadly, she had to move to a nursing home and could not take Pop with her. Trenton Cats Rescue, one of the best rescues out there, took Pop under their wing. TCR kept Pop with them for 1.5 years, making sure, as they do with all of their cats, that he went to a home that was suitable for him. Pop was shy during adoption events, did not like other cats and was a bit overweight which caused him to have some breathing issues. I adopted Pop in May 2015. Since then, Pop has been living his best life! Surprise! He is not shy! He is a very vocal people-lover. Pop has lost about 6.5 pounds and no longer has any breathing issues. He has also learned to co-exist with his adopted sister from ACCT, Diamond (featured as January in MAR's 2019 calendar). Popple spends his days taking in the South Philly views while listening to The Carpenters, banging on the windows of the 32nd floor at pigeons (yes, they make it that high), collecting bow ties, hunting for cheese and playing fetch with his toy mice. Pop wanted to put his photogenic looks to good use by helping Morris Animal Refuge raise money to help other animals in need like he once was. Vote for Pop!
