Pet's Story or Bio
I adopted Ziggy from the Morris Animal Refuge in early December 2010. He was still feeding from a syringe and was the tiniest kitten there. He now weighs just under 17 pounds! I was told Ziggy's mom abandoned him in someone's back yard in S. Philly. A wonderful person took him to the shelter where he was cared for. I saw him in his cage. He was named "Red." He was sleeping then opened his eyes and ran up to greet me with his paw and when he opened up his mouth to speak, no sound came out. That was it. From that moment, I was hooked and just had to adopt him. I had to wait several weeks to take him home as he was coughing from a respiratory infection and he needed to be neutered. He was placed in the adopted cat cages in the back where I visited him every other day to build a bond. Ziggy will be 10 in 15 days and as you can see from his photo is still the cutest little boy. I love him dearly as he shows love for me every day. He's my best friend and companion. I don't know what I would do without him. I'm just so happy to have been able to bring him into my life, and I know he's happy to have me as his dad!
