Pet's Story or Bio
Igor was born in our back alley along with 5 siblings, who we trapped, fixed, and rehomed. Igor was the straggler, caught a few days after his brothers, sisters, and mom. On trapping, we saw his eye was very messed up and took him to the emergency vet. When they asked us to name him for their records, Igor (Eye-gore) immediately came to mind. The vet said he had a deep corneal ulcer and would likely have to have his eye removed. But we decided to give it a chance and try to heal it instead. We put antibiotic drops and salve in his eye three times a day for months - and saved it! His eye will always be a little misshapen and dark because of the trauma, but we think it just adds to his character. He is now the handsome prince of our hearts and a naughty little brother to his old-lady cat sisters, who do not appreciate his need for constant playtime. He's lucky he's so cute!
