Pet's Story or Bio
In 2017 I talked my widowed mother into adopting a cat for company and soon after adopted a cat of my own to support her effort. (Either that or I was so jealous that I had to have one of my own--who remembers these things?) When I surveyed the cats on display at PetSmart I decided I wanted an older cat because I knew they were harder to adopt out because everyone wants a cutesy wutesy kitten. But I figured an older cat would be more laid back than a kitten such as the hyperactive beast my mother had adopted. I saw this black-and-brown ball of fur curled up and hiding her face in her slumber on a round brown bed. Without even knowing what she looked like I thought, That's the cat for me! Fine with me if she wants to sleep all day. (This was before I learned cats sleep an average of 16 hours per day!) When the young lady helping me adopt Sierra had to wake her up to put her in the cardboard carrier (I didn't have one yet) I saw this gorgeous creature with giant green eyes, a white muzzle and fur curving under her left eye like someone had socked her one. And she had the sweetest croaked meow. She looks young, but the meow gives her away. She was 13 at the time and now she's 18, beautiful as ever and Queen of the Bedroom.
