Pet's Story or Bio
Gandalf was brought to a shelter in Pittsburgh by a woman that was unable to keep him. He followed her home from a Dollar General store 😢.
He was brought in as a stray in terrible condition. His fur was overgrown and urine soaked. He had been there for two weeks with potential adopters going to see him. He growled, snapped or bit all of them!
The evening that I went to meet him, he was terrified. They left me alone with him in a visiting room, and he was shaking like a leaf and hiding under a chair. I sat on the floor and spoke softly to him and he eventually came out and let me pet him. I picked him up and he just snuggled into me.
The next evening I took him to the vet to find out that he had pneumonia, a skin infection and an ear infection. Two weeks of medication and he was a new dog!
I’m not sure who rescued whom but he makes me so happy and I love him so much!
