Pet's Story or Bio
Our Baker was a walk-on too; he walked into our garage on a HOT Texas day in July 2017 covered in poop and collapsed on the floor. His nails were so long they curled, and his mouth was so infected he couldn't eat! After a brief rest, he left and about 20 minutes later, he showed up again (into what would become his FUREVER home!). His name was actually Hector (his picture was posted as LOST on our neighborhood mailbox). It was evident that he had not been well cared for, so we ignored that sign, took him to the vet, found out he also had a cancerous man part, and we decided to make him ours and love him to the end!!

He made us smile or laugh every day because his antics were just that funny - he was like a little human! When we opened the dishwasher, he would jump up there like he was an Olympian and balance himself intricately until he licked EVERY dish within his reach! The vet estimated him at around 11, so he eventually became our frail little geriatric man and ended up w/ dementia in his last year of life.

He may have shown up in our garage broken, sick, and covered in poo, but he spent his remaining 5 1/2 years sleeping in a king-sized bed and getting spoiled rotten! Who knew a 7 lb. dog could push 2 grown people out of a king bed?! Hadn't had a good night’s sleep in 5 1/2 years, but the joy he provided was worth it! We sure miss out little geriatric man, but we're happy that he is running up there with his siblings free from pain and old age! Run Baker Run!!!

That is the story of how Baker ended up living 5 1/2 of his happiest years with us in the Doggy Witness Protection Program!
