Pet's Story or Bio
This is the ‘Great Gatsby’, da Gatsbinator, Gibber, my lil Boo-Baa, Scruffy Butt - half chihuahua, half cairn terrier, and ALL LOVE ❤️ We chose him cuz he was so scared, hiding in the back of his cage, he didn’t jump up or bark like the others. In fact he didn’t bark for almost the first year, he never played with toys (he thought we were crazy rolling a ball to him), but he EXCELLED at being a snuggle bug. When we found out his birthday was the same as my sons we knew God had directed us straight to this lil guy. They say we rescued him, but it was totally Gatsby who rescued us. He had been abused, but he overcame his fears and became the quirky, littlest social butterfly in our complex. His best buds were a 170# English Mastiff and a Sharpei/German Shepherd. Even at 11 years old people thought he was a puppy. He took trips with us, was a hit on stage in two of my sons high school plays, and daily he just radiated LOVE. Gatsby was also a hero! He calmed his terrier side instincts when he realized there were fellow furry friends in trouble and he alerted us to 5 baby possums hiding out in various places in our yard, (their Momma had died), we were able to bring to them to a wildlife rescue, where they thrived. Sadly after 11 incredible, amazing, love and adventure filled years we had to let our baby Gats go, he had a heart murmur when we rescued him that wasn’t an issue and didn’t slow him down one bit until this summer, so on July 7th 2023, we lovingly sent him over the rainbow bridge. I miss seeing him peak out of the slider blinds when my car pulls up, and having him jump up excitedly when I walk through the door, I miss our daily walks, I miss snuggling on the couch and especially watching you fall contentedly fall asleep next to me. But I know you’re happy, healthy, running and playing with my sister & Mom in heaven - Cuz all dogs go to heaven! I think dogs are all just furry Angels Love & miss you with all my heart ❤️
