You may enter as many photos as you like in Maz and Jag’s First Annual Photo Calendar Contest while the contest is live (07/01/19-08/15/19). Please ensure that you post the highest resolution image available.
The cost to enter is $20 per photo submission. You can pay an additional $10 to guarantee a spot for your pet’s photo the date of your choice in the calendar. It costs $1 to place a vote and you have to purchase five votes at a time.
There will be 12 winners, each one will be featured on one month of the calendar. The photo with the most votes overall will be featured on the cover, as well as have their choice of month for inside the calendar. Winners are determined by number of votes. In case of a tie, Mostly Mutts will do a blind drawing to determine the overall winner.
Photo captions must accompany all submissions, and include the name of the dog or cat, and a brief story about him/her. Please limit this to 100 words. Please do not submit photos that also depict people.
Contest participants are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to submit the photos being entered in the contest. By submitting to the contest, you affirm that you are the photographer or have been given unrestricted use permission by the photographer, to include the photo. Do not submit collages. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will not be considered for the contest.
In order to be considered for inclusion in the GDB calendar, high-resolution horizontal (landscape) digital files of the winning photos must be available to send to GDB at the close of the contest. (A high resolution file is 8 megapixels or larger – many cell phone photos will not qualify.)
This online contest is the sole platform for photo calendar submissions – be sure to enter, vote, and encourage others to vote for your best chance of success!
Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue reserves the right to utilize photo submissions in any manner deemed appropriate, beyond the scope of the 2019-2020 calendar project.
