Lola and Max were adopted from MSRH in March and April of 2017 within a few weeks of each other. They have become best buddies, often playing for hours on end. Lola is pretty vocal when they play which often starts in my bed at 3 in the morning. Max is bit larger than Lola but he is the youngest at 2 and Lola is 4.
Neither knew any commands when adopted, so we signed up to do some training. Lola won the dog push-up contest in her training. A doggy push up is doing a sit-down-sit without having to repeat commands. Max has started intermediate training as he tends to stay a bit better than Lola. But, she is working on it at Max's intermediate training. Intermediate training involves distractions when they follow commands. Lola is serving as a one of those distractions.
Being schnauzers we do have some serious barking that we are working on in hopes of getting to therapy dog training. This is their graduation picture from beginner's training.
