A little about me...
Schatzi was about 4 years old when he was picked up as a stray in San Antonio, TX. Schatzi was suffering from heart worms and had gotten in a few scrapes as evidenced by his slightly mangled right ear. Once the MSRH interviewed his forever home parents in Houston he would still require a few more weeks of rest and treatment for his heartworm. Schatzi arrived in his forever home in July of 2018 and has since made a full recovery.

Since arriving at his forever home Schatzi passed his professional obedience training with flying colors and is now such a good boy at ignoring the cats (quite impressive for a Mini-Schnauzer with his history!). Schatzi enjoys daily training which includes Sit, Stay, Down, Place, Sit Pretty, High Five, Paws Up, and Hoop (jump through a hoop). Schatzi averages 5 miles per day according to his Whistle (activity tracker). His exercise includes walks, running around the yard, and runs alongside his mom’s bicycle.

Schatzi’s favorite activities are chasing squirrels, visiting doggy daycare, playing with his squeaky hedgehog, and sleeping on his parents laps after a long day.
