A little about me...
I got the word that some folks up in Maryland were interested in adopting me. Maryland?! I didn’t know where in the world that was but I was up for the adventure. I made the trip from Texas to Md on Black Friday of this year. Isn’t that a coincidence?!? I’m a black schnauzer and my name is Friday!

I’m not sure if these northerners knew what they were getting into when they adopted me on a wing and a prayer. I was just hoping that they would want to keep me forever. I wanted my forever home.

After meeting my new ‘rents, I could tell that they were smitten. They loved up on me all day, every day. Then something unexpected happened.

About a month after my arrival, I started scooting my rump on the ground. Unbeknownced to me, my new momma was a former vet tech and had no qualms about gloving up to express my anal glands. 😳 She was saddened to find a tumor on my right gland, but she kept telling me that everything was going to be okay. Within a week, I went through surgery and saw an oncol....uncoll... oncolog.... a cancer doctor!!. The good news? I am living my best life! Im on medication that makes me feel great- spry as a puppy. I love my sisters, romping around in the back yard, chasing squirrels and getting lots of snuggles. Life is good. The oncologist said my life expectancy is 8-12 months. However, my parents tell me that I have a lot more mileage on me and they are going to do everything they can to make sure that every day is my bestest day!!!!!! 💕💕💕.
