A little about me...
Our Mia was a ‘failed foster baby’. We agreed to foster Mia after losing our girl, Emma, the previous month. She chose us. From the minute she met us at the kennel, where we met all 5 of her rescued siblings, she sat down and held Barbara. That pretty much did it for us. They told us she didn’t know how to be on a lead, but from the moment we put her on one, she knew. That is how she was with everything. She knew. Mia was one of the smartest ‘people’ we know. She loved to run and jump and explore. Loved walks when we camped, chasing deer, took care of any other fosters we had, and even kept her brother away from wild bunnies who frequented our yard. She lost her sight when she was 6 to SARDS. But that didn’t stop her. She could map a place in nothing flat and barely bump into anything. She even managed to run in the dog park, up ramps, and around trees. We lost our beautiful girl in late 2021 after battling heart disease and diabetes. We miss her every day and love her forever.
