My family and I had decided to adopt a dog and while discussing what type would be the right fit, we all settled on a miniature schnauzer. We wanted to adopt from a rescue and my husband wanted a black dog. He insisted that we would name the dog Eli in honor of the actor Eli Wallach.who reminds him of his father (who had passed away earlier that year). The next morning my husband did an online search for "miniature schnauzer, rescue". Up popped the MRSH site and there, lo and behold was a black mini schnauzer named Eli. It was love at first sight and we are now one big happy family here in northern California. Eli has filled our hearts to the brim with love and we will be eternally grateful to MRSH for taking care of our boy until he could find his way to our forever home
