A little about me...
I adopted Teddi from a volunteer I worked with at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens several years ago. Since parrots live a long time and the volunteer was older, she was looking for a good, permanent home for Teddi-one where she knew Teddi would be comfortable and cared for. Teddi and I got along almost immediately and has been apart of our home for the past 14 years. We have perches and spaces for her around the house and backyard so she can go with me wherever I am. She lives with 3 dogs, 4 cats, and 3 kids and everyone knows to admire her from a distance due to her strong beak. Hatched on Presidents’ Day in 1992, I expect she still has several years of entertaining us with her beauty and vocabulary (“grape”, “eagle”, “wow”, “knock it off”, etc.). Teddi loves baths, French fries and pasta. She is usually very quiet observing the busy world around her, but cover your ears when she starts squawking-she likes to remind us of how loud she can be.
