Pet's Story or Bio
Sato spent the first 9 years of her life in a laboratory in China. It is obvious she was used as a breeder, but other procedures were not disclosed when she was released. Whatever was done to her left her with PTSD: she freezes when she is unsure which is much of the time and prevents her from walking well on a leash. However, she is the sweetest dog ever which is why her guardians named her Sato (SAH-toe); it means sugar in Japanese. Sato was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, but her guardians are regular volunteers and supporters of Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center. They also adopted two cats from MSR, including fostering one through her pregnancy, delivery and her nurturing of her four kittens until they were ready for adoption.
