New "2021 Coolest Pet in Mukilteo" Prize Category
The Mukilteo Kiwanis Foundation is announcing a new prize for entries in the "2021 Coolest Pet in Mukilteo" online pet contest. All entrants who do not place in First, Second or Third in our Dog, Cat or Best Pet Halloween Costume category will be placed in a random drawing for a $100 gift certificate from Karmichaels's Auto Salon as a thank you for entering.
Eligibility to participate in this random drawing is:
- Entry into the Dog, Cat or Best Pet Halloween Costume Category but did not place First, Second or Third in any category by the end of the contest at 12:00am on November 5, 2021.
- Entry has received at least 50 votes by 12:00am on Friday, November 5, 2021.
The random drawing winner will be announced on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 via email to all entrants. The winner of this random drawing will receive their gift certificate by mail, and will be invited to be photographed with our First, Second and Third Place winners for the Mukilteo Kiwanis Foundation website. By excepting the award, you are giving us permission to include your photograph; the date and time of photos will be determined later.

Prize Categories
Prizes will be awarded to the
Top 3 Dogs, the
Top 3 Cats and the
Top 3 Best Halloween Pet Costume based on the number of votes received by midnight November 5. There will be a total of nine (9) prizes. All 9 winners will be featured in the Mukilteo Beacon. Top pet winners may be asked to attend promotional events and be available for interviews by the news media
Dog Category:
- First Place Dog: The dog with the most votes will be crowned the "2021 Coolest Dog in Mukilteo".
- The first place winner will receive a first place trophy, and a $100 grooming certificate from Deslilu's Pet Boutique. Prize value: $150.
- Second Place Dog: The dog with the second most votes will be deemed the "2021 Second Coolest Dog in Mukilteo".
- The second place winner will receive a second place trophy and a $75 gift card from Camp Canine. Prize Value: $100.
- Third Place: The dog with the third highest number of votes will be deemed the "2021 Third Coolest Dog in Mukilteo".
- The third place dog winner will receive a third place trophy, a $50 gift card from Camp Canine . Prize value: $75
Cat and Best Pet Halloween Costume Categories- First Place: The winners of the cat or best pet halloween costume categories will be crowned the "2021 Coolest Cat in Mukilteo" OR the "2021 Coolest Pet Halloween Costume"in Mukilteo".
- The first place, winners will receive a first place trophy, a free pet photo package taken by a local professional photographer, and $50 gift card from a local pet store. Prize value: $150
- Second Place: The second place winners of each category will be deemed the "2021 Second Coolest Cat in Mukilteo" OR the "2021 Second Coolest Pet Halloween Costume in Mukilteo".
- The second place winners will receive a second place trophy and a $75 gift card from Sam's. Prize value: $100.
- Third Place: The second place winners of each category will be deemed the "2021 Third Coolest Cat in Mukilteo" OR the "2021 Coolest Pet Halloween Costume in Mukilteo".
- The third place winners will receive a third place trophy and a $50 gift card from Sam's. Prize value: $75.
The Mukilteo Kiwanis Foundation will make every attempt to notify the Top 3 Dog, Top 3 Cat and Top 3 Best Pet Halloween Costume category winners via telephone and email during the week of November 8.
If the winner cannot be contacted by November 10, the second place winner will take the top spot. Should the second place winner also not be successfully contacted by the deadline of November 12, the third place winner takes the top spot.
