If you think that a 10 ten year old asthmatic cat with only 3 legs can no longer enjoy life, you would be wrong! Just ask Ellie!!!! Through the wonderful foster care program at MWHS, she came into my life this past June and became my permanent foster blessing on July 9th. Prior to her time at MetroWest, Ellie was hit by a car resulting in paralysis of her right front leg which eventually needed to be amputated. Additionally, she is asthmatic and requires a pill and an inhaler treatment twice daily - and yet she runs and jumps and plays and dances and purrs and cuddles and loves life with a joy that makes my heart sing and laugh every single day. I would encourage adopting or fostering a "special needs cat" because you will discover that "SPECIAL" is truly the operative word there. Thank you MWHS and Ellie for enriching my life beyond measure!
