Jeff and Alex met in a painting class at SDSU while both pursuing their degrees in Art. Their dates included frequent trips to Balboa Park. Visits to the museums and galleries at the park were always the perfect setting and inspiration for the various ongoing projects as art majors and artists. Once they graduated from SDSU, Balboa Park continued to be a favorite destination so it was natural that when planning their wedding they decided on Balboa Park as the perfect setting for such an important day. On May 1, 1993 they were married by the fountain behind Casa del Rey Moro (now The Prado.) After 21 years of marriage, Balboa Park continues to be a favorite destination for Jeff, Alex and their teenage daughters.
