Share your Love Story
On New Years Eve 2004 my life changed forever. My husband James and I were standing in front of the giraffe exhibit at the San Diego Zoo, when suddenly he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.  I was so surprised that time literally stood still. The last thing I remember him saying, before he gave me the ring, was "you're my best friend...” Four years earlier we started out as friends, then we became more than friends, soon I realized that not only was he my best friend, but also the love of my life. That's why I didn't hesitate to say yes that day in Balboa Park.  That June we were married in the beautiful gardens of the Marston House, and held our reception at the Balboa Park Club. It was one of the best days of my life. Ten years later he is still my best friend. He makes me laugh, he makes
me think, he challenges me, he drives me crazy, and I wouldn't have it any other way. A lot has changed over the years since we’ve been together. Our relationship has grown, and so has our family. Seeing what a wonderful father he is to our little girl has only made me love him more. All these years later, I still think he is the smartest, funniest, coolest guy I've ever met, and I'm so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with him.
