Share your Love Story
Our parents Benjamin Hill Clay, age 21, and Natalie Gardner Clay, age 20, were married in Balboa Park on December 17, 1940 at the small chapel off the Museum of Man. Both our parents were students at San Diego State College which is now San Diego State University. They decided to get married after our dad was drafted into the Army just before the start of World War II. Our parents lived and raised three children here in La Mesa, Mary Ann Barnett, Stephen B. Clay and myself Benjamin G. Clay. Balboa Park has always been a very special part of our lives.
